WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL ART?

According to my Industrial Art  free bookstore, industrial art is:

  • Visual,
  • Rules,
  • Schemas,
  • "Photovotaics",
  • Sketchy;
  • is based on "end user" experiences,
  • emphasizes light, motion, and energy,
  • tends to be found in "architecture", design, and in sketch work,
  • interacts well with design communities,
  • and tends to be like "photography". [Grainy and visual, or graphic.]

INDUSTRIAL ART IS...

Knowledge, science, lines, and forms portrayed via presentation, visuals, and colors and multimedia design.

WHY IS INDUSTRIAL ART IMPORTANT?

Industrial art has traditionally been the oldest and most widely accepted form of Art in the History of "Modern Man". Industrial art, therefore, tends to produce income while the artist is alive. Picasso made more money alive than Monet. i.e. It is profitable. This is one reason why it is very popular. Another reason why it is also shunned. Many classic artists, like Monet, are frustrated by the success of the typical Picasso. i.e. Industrial art, like a dollar bill, tends to be "more popular" to those with money. Those with money tend to be industrial artists.

WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF THIS MOVEMENT?

The history of the movement is a book in itself. For introductory purposes, industrial art started approximately 45,000 years ago with the advent of the "Phoenician" Language. Some claim this was in "Arizona". Modern examples are money from the United States i.e. Coins, dollar bills, "checques" or "checks"; Mark Tansey, from New York with his "Lithographs"; and the famous Lichenstein from San Franscisco with his dot art. Another humorous example is Wegman's "Dog Art". A beautiful modern example is Hopper's street art.

INDUSTRIAL ARTISTS - AN INTRODUCTION

An industrial artist bases their reality on order, structure, and meaning. For example Albert Einstein, Vincent Van Gogh, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. They paint with "meaning and resolution" like Da Vinci, Rousseau, Aristotle. They are well-versed at multiple forms of venue management like music, poetry, books, and the arts. They demand definition and form like Kandisky, Marx - the painter from Germany, and Tchaikovsky.

Industrial artists avoid clutter designs, confusion or distortion, and melodies. Their personalities tend to be harsh, directed, and critical. Like a teacher. They tend to prefer visuals. An industrial artist sees a pictural presentation as a film or a song. They like words. They do not like people. Hence, the artist persona. They are displeased when bothered.

They like perfectly structured music. For example, George Lucas - the producer of "Star Wars" expected perfection in the theme song. They do not like lyrics or words. But they like words. For example, words are precise. A cousin of this artist is the surrealists and the scientific optic artists in 1920.

WHERE DO I FIND INDUSTRIAL ART?

The Constitution of the United States of America is a great example of industrial art, written by 75% industrial or related Americans. Another example of industrial art is a coin. A third example is a Greek Church or Government building.

WHERE CAN I FIND IT TODAY?

At the art museum. Modern art musuems and classic art museums have examples of industrial art in Chicago and Minneapolis, Minnesota. All classic art museums have at least five walls dedicated to industrial art. [Germany]
